PFLAG National

Our parent organization; offering educational articles, publications and videos as well as sharing stories and creating resources for loved ones of LGBTQ+ people. PFLAG is the longest-running organization dedicated to serving the friends, families, parents, loved ones, and allies of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Trevor Project

One accepting adult decreases the risk for suicide in LGBTQ+ youth by 40%. The Trevor Project serves youth and their families by providing preventative education, resources and guides.

It Gets Better Project

The It Gets Better Project’s mission is to uplift, empower, and connect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer youth around the globe. Here you’ll find many videos, some educational, and some of people sharing their stories.

Trans Lifeline

Run by and for trans people, the Trans Lifeline is a grassroots hotline and microgrants site to direct both emotional and financial support to the trans community. Also hosts an extensive trans-related resource library.

GLSEN

Founded by a group of teachers, GLSEN strives to ensure that every member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. Excellent source of information for educators and parents.

Gender Spectrum

Gender Spectrum works to create gender sensitive and inclusive environments for all children and teens. Carries excellent resources aimed at specific groups such as parents, faith leaders, educators, and medical & mental health professionals.

Family Equality Council

Advocating for equality for LGBTQ+ families. From virtual events to family-building resources, the Family Equality Council is working to make the legal and lived experiences of families in our LGBTQ+ community easier.

Serendipity Dodah -MTK

A grassroots, Facebook-oriented network comprised of moms of trans kids that many of our members have found helpful in making connections and information sharing. Subgroup of the Real Mama Bears. May need time to go through vetting process to join.

National Center for Transgender Equality

NCTE advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice. Home of the 2022 U.S. Trans Survey
